Don Bryant MBA, P.Eng, P.E.
Don Bryant has been Executive Director of the EMA of BC for over 3 years. He gained his MBA from Simon Fraser University, and is a registered Professional Engineer in BC and two US states. Don has always been an environmental advocate, beginning with the first Earth Day march, and in the advent of environmental studies, in steel mill operations, in industrial process and project engineering, in environmental consulting (effluent treatment, contaminant remediation, environmental assessment) and in business management. He served on the EMA of BC Board of Directors for ten years, representing the environmental consulting firm he co-founded, before taking the Executive Director position. He is most proud of the achievements of the EMA of BC and the professional environmental managers that have served on its outstanding volunteer Board of Directors over the years.
Pamela O Ph.D.
Pamela O is the Associate Director of the EMA of BC. She completed her BSc Hons and MSc at the University of Toronto and her PhD at the University of British Columbia. Her focus was on Arctic ecology, plant-animal interactions, and the effects of grazing on ecosystem CO2 balance. She specialized in goose and caribou grazing systems, spending seven seasons in Canada’s north. She has taught at both U of T and UBC and strongly believes in environmental education. Pamela wanted to continue in the field of education outside the university setting, so joining the EMA of BC team has been an excellent move.
